Tender Rebuild 2 TENDER
REBUILD
                                   Tender Update February 2006

As can be seen from the photo’s the tender tank is now well advanced in construction and should within a week or so become complete.
The tank has had several minor alterations purely to prevent further corrosion and to eliminate rust traps. The foot plate area of the tender was originally designed so as it could be adjusted if necessary to operate with a loco of a different footplate height. This we have dispensed with and converted the area below the footplate to additional water storage. The internal water scoop pipe has also been dispensed with. The fire hose connection has been moved to below the tank and not on the running plate as we had previously fitted.
